Okay, I am ordering from Fedco...soon. Thanks for that and as for 'genteel' that is for the elite and it is synonymous with 'pretentious aloofness' in my book. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Great post! It's never occurred to me to be thankful for my skepticism but now I shall reconsider that.

Hooray for skepticism, even (especially?) about the conventional wisdom coming from the same side of the political spectrum. Sure, it pisses off some readers but that's okay.

The fence looks great! Did you use cement for the posts? I'd like a somewhat higher fence so I'm afraid I probably will...

Now on to browse the Fedco trees :-)

With the Thanksgiving holiday at hand, I too am reminded to count my blessings within home and out in the yard. So, what I’m most thankful for in the backyard garden is the fact that so many of my bulb are displaying their magnificent blooms is a wide array of eye catching colors.

I love the fence. Hope I can find something taller and affordable in the spring when we are going to make a serious effort to keep out the deer and bunnies.

Great post. Yes, you're right about skepticism. Last week, I went to my first Town Hall mtg with my skepticism way up. It was just as I expected from the talking heads...not one single original answer to the questions directed at them about local problems, but we, the locals, put some heat on them and I was very proud to be in a room-full of skeptics.
I am grateful to know my fellow citizens are on the ball.
Gardening is my refuge. Just now, my cleared little tomato garden looks so tiny & cold; the wonderful continuous source of tomatoes seems a dream.

Thanks for that and as for 'genteel' that is for the elite and it is synonymous with 'pretentious aloofness' in my book. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I have been looking at the same Lowe's fencing, I appreciate seeing it in a "real" garden setting to get a better lokksee ;)
